New: Ranking module or how to know the reselling turnover per product
compuBase now invites his subscribers to a Ranking module (appraisal and modelisation of the resale turnover by product), integrated to the compuBase-online application.
In parallel, compuBase will continue to sell his Ranking service on demand, as part of the BMS offer (Benchmarking - Ranking - Scoring)
What is the Ranking module objective?
Thanks to the Ranking module, compuBase is enable to provide you with the turnover realised by any headquarters of resellers in the product you need.
To achieve this, we work on the data collected by compuBase and models that benefit from our large market coverage. With 115,000 referenced companies, compuBase developed very reliable statistic models.
Knowing the turnover by product is much more useful than knowing the global turnover of a company, as you can compare this information with your sales and then know your share of wallet by sales spot / region / market, etc.
Many companies possess wide catalogues of products and/or of sale services that make the company turnover hardly readable.

Who can access to the online Ranking? How much does it cost?
How reliable is a Ranking? What is your process?
To make a Ranking, we always start with data available in the compuBase database.
Some of the companies answered the question we are interested in and for the others, we do not have the answer. These last companies represent the Ranking value, as we developed a modelisation that enables to get a very relevant result.
The modelisation includes many factors, within which: the main activity of the company, the structure of the turnover already known, the company turnover, the number of employees, the country, etc.
This modelisation is relevant because it is based on a statistic database gathering 115,000 companies. One of the reasons why the Ranking is relevant is this large number of companies.
The result of a Ranking represents a slot of turnover, for example: between 250 K€ and 325 K€ of turnover done in laserjet printer.
To make a Ranking easier to use, compuBase also supplies a median (middle of the slot) and a reliance grade or a solidity grade that is calculated according to the number of models used to reach the result.
compuBase certifies that the result will be correct for 80 % to 90 % of the companies, which means that if you ask the company, the reality will be in the slot mentioned by compuBase.

Big Headings Ranking Module:
Ranking available for the following categories: System Product, Network/Telecom Product, Packaged Software, All-In-One printer, peripheral storage, other peripheral, office automation and consumable product, other technological products, non-IT-sales.
This module is for wholesalers and only gives access to the mentioned headings.
